Proposed Amendments to Union Constitution w/ annotations
The full text of the amended Rensselaer Union Constitution, including annotations and commented explanations for changes.
Annotations are structured in the following way: at the end of each section, a bracketed annotation appears, such as [3.2], [5.4a, new], or [7.8, 7.9]. In the case of the first annotation [3.2], it would mean that the section in question was taken from the current Constitution, Article III, Section 2. For the second example [5.4a, new], it would mean that the section is question was taken from the current Constitution, Article V, Section 4a, and that the meaning of the section has been changed. For the last example [7.8, 7.9] it would mean that the section in question is a combination of Article VII, Section 8, and Article VII, Section 9 of the current Constitution.
In all cases where the meaning of a section has been changed, or where something has been removed, we have attempted to provide an explanation in the comments. If you have any questions regarding the changes, please contact the Constitution Committee at email@example.com.
